Traditional Chinese Medicine promotes that all parts and all conditions of the body are closely related, and health is directly connected to the balance of yin and yang within the body. It illustrates the importance of the Chinese term “two sides of the body.” Traditional Chinese Medicine states that any disease or symptom is a result of a disharmony or imbalance of these two sides. By maintaining the connection between these two sides, a new balance is created, and health is restored. It illustrates the importance of Qi (free flowing energy) and blood. Acupuncture maintains this harmony by promoting free flow where there is blood and Qi stagnation, leading to the elimination of blockage and pain.
